Welcome to Culver City
A quiet and trendy community close to Los Angeles and the Pacific Ocean.
Culver City is a city in Southern California and a suburb of Los Angeles County, California. The city is part of the Los Angeles metropolitan area, located only 15 minutes from Los Angeles, and is in the San Fernando Valley region. Culver City is much more than the pulsing city of commerce, industry, and machines. It’s the location of art, film, and theater.
The first thing that residents notice when they enter Culver City is the modernist architecture, from art deco to Brutalist, that characterizes many of the city’s buildings. Culver City was built in the 1950s and 1960s, and its architecture was influenced by it. This was an era of modernist design, where multi-unit buildings, offices, and even supermarkets had a radical design style, and houses were designed to make them as efficient as possible. This made superior use of space and created a healthier environment.
